The Beach at Gulpiyuri
This is probably the most surprising part of the Asturian coast, declared a natural monument. Shaped as a half circle separated from the sea by the cliffs, it is a place where one can bathe without seeing the sea.
It is about 40 metres long and the sand almost disappears at high tide. It experiences a kind of drainage phenomenon at the beginning of the low tide.
Access to the beach is on foot . Vehicles are not allowed.
